The Wii Pusher

I believe the future of the Internet is video. More and more people are starting to come online with broadband, both in the U.S. and abroad. To answer this exploding medium I started mobileStorm Productions, a unit of mobileStorm dedicated to creating cool video content for prospects, customers, employees and partners. Check out commercial 1 of 3 promoting our upcoming white paper “Digital Marketing Best Practices for Geniuses” and tell me what you think. I would love your feedback.

Hey Jared,
I came across your blog looking for cool sites about entrepreneurship. I checked out the video and loved the post on MLK jr.- very cool stuff! A colleague of mine and I were thinking of starting a video marketing firm in the Raleigh- Durham, NC area (targeting alot of tech companies in the triangle) and didn’t know if you had any advice.
On a seperate note, I am running a fresh blog about Entrepreneurial Humanitarianism- if you got a sec, check it out! please feel free to make comments, arguments, etc.

Taylor,
When you say video marketing I think of you creating, shooting and marketing videos for businesses. Am I right? I think that is a great idea. There are alot of great tech compaines in your area. I think video is gonna be huge for businesses and they need to embrace it. The problem however is that creating videos takes money and it can be expensive and you need to have great ideas, two things that businesses do not always have. However if they could hire a 3rd party at a reasonable price to create content for them, that would be an excellent service. I would try to productize what you can do for them, like have a menu of things they can choose from. For instance you might offer to create a job video so they can attract talent at sites like jobing.com. You might have a product where you produce intro videos that compaines can showcase on their site to prospective customers, you could do demo videos, interview etc. etc.. Maybe even offer to integrate an open source video community like we did so they could have their own video player and way of distributing video. Keep things really simple and templated as much as possible so you can scale the business. Have a great weekend!
The Video said it all, like a picture says a thousand words. Loved it!
